Knicks 2026/2027

If you are a Knicks fan looking for a date to a game at the Garden,* you’ve found me.  I love basketball and am looking forward to the Knicks title defense this season. I am a knowledgeable, passionate fan and especially love the NBA of the 1990s—which is why OG Anunoby is my favorite current player; he’s the one Knick who would have fit in with Ewing, Starks, Oakley, and Mason (RIP). 

I would be happy to cheer for the Knicks against any opponent but I am looking forward to some specific matchups this season:

Philadelphia 76ers

The rumor is that LeBron was planning to join the Knicks this offseason but had to change his plans when they won the title so he pivoted to the Sixers. It’ll be fun to see how LeBron and the champions of the offseason fare against Jalen and the real champions.

Boston Celtics

Fuck Boston. Fuck Larry Bird. Fuck that guy who ran over Buggin Out’s shoes in Do the Right Thing. But it will be fun to welcome old friend Mitchell Robinson back to the Garden and boo him (respectfully, of course).

Indiana Pacers

Tyrese Haliburton may think he’s so clever with his Reggie Miller choking gesture, but the Knicks have rings and he doesn’t. I’m glad he’s back from his injury, though; it will make it that much more satisfying when we beat the Pacers.

Golden State Warriors

They may not be the champs that they once were, but Steph Curry always puts on a show at the Garden. Additionally, it’ll be fun to boo former Knick Kristaps Porzingis (if he’s healthy enough to play).

Miami Heat

Fuck Pat Riley (nice suits though).

Los Angeles Lakers

Jalen was Luka’s understudy in Dallas and it is always fun to see how they match up against each other. The only team to hire a podcaster to be their coach.

Los Angeles Clippers

In an uncertain world, it is comforting to know that there are some constants, such as God punishing the Los Angeles Clippers.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Anothony Edwards is always fun and it will be a good occasion to celebrate how thoroughly the Knicks won the KAT trade.

San Antonio Spurs

Finals rematch. Fuck Wemby.

Oklahoma City Thunder

My former SuperSonics… Boring, honestly. But they have the back-to-back MVP.

New Orleans Pelicans

Just kidding.

*Also happy to kick back and watch the game on TV together!
